The order now quick action lets your subscribers place their next order immediately, ahead of their scheduled delivery date, with a single click from an email or SMS. You can pair the action with a discount or free gift to give subscribers a reason to act early. This article covers how to create the quick action, what each setting does, and how to use the action key in your communications.
Why use this quick action
When a subscriber has an upcoming order or have delayed, rescheduled, or skipped their next order, there is a window to bring that revenue forward. The order now quick action puts a direct ordering link in their email or SMS, so they can place their next order ahead of schedule with a single click. Pairing it with an incentive gives subscribers a concrete reason to act rather than wait for their regular delivery date.
When to use this quick action
This quick action works well in these situations:
Promoting seasonal launches or flash sales by inviting subscribers to order early
Offering early reorder options before holidays, events, or product restocks
Re-engaging subscribers whose orders have been delayed or rescheduled
Recovering skipped orders with an incentivized order-now offer
What you can configure
For an order now quick action, you can configure the subscription events that trigger the quick action link, an optional incentive to encourage early ordering, and the pop-up text subscribers see when they land on customer portal.
Supported events
The events you select during setup determine where the quick action URL is injected in your notification payloads. The available events are:
Upcoming order reminder
Subscription Delayed
Subscription Rescheduled
Order skipped
Action incentive
You can attach a discount or free gift to the order now action to encourage subscribers to place their order early. Click + Add offer to configure the incentive.
Note: The discount or free gift is applied only to the immediate order placed through this quick action, not to future recurring orders.
Pop-up texts
You can customize the text shown on the customer portal pop-up that appears when a subscriber clicks the link. All fields have defaults that you can override:
Field | Default |
Popup header | Limited time offer |
Popup body | Order now to get rewarded. Offer valid till {{campaign_end_date}} only. |
Confirm button | Accept offer |
Close button | Decline offer |
Success message | New order placed successfully. |
Action keys
Loop auto-generates two action keys based on the action name you enter. You can find them on the quick action detail screen after saving:
Loop notifications key: used inside Loop email templates
Klaviyo key: used in third-party communication tools
These keys dynamically resolve into a personalized quick action URL for each subscriber.
How to create an order now quick action
Navigate to Loop admin > Retain > Quick actions, then click Create a quick action.
Select Order now as the action type.
Enter an Action name (internal use only). Loop uses this name to auto-generate your action keys.
Select the supported events where you want the quick action link to be available.
Under Action incentive, click + Add offer to configure a discount or free gift (optional).
Customize the pop-up texts (optional).
Click Save.
Where to use the quick action URL
Loop notifications
Add the Loop notifications key as a variable inside your Loop email templates. The variable dynamically generates a personalized URL for each subscriber.
Third-party tools (Klaviyo)
You can use the Klaviyo key in any tool integrated with Loop, such as Klaviyo, Attentive, Recart, or Omnisend. Add the key to your button URL so subscribers land directly on the order now flow. See Use it in third-party tools like Klaviyo for setup steps.
Subscriber experience
When a subscriber clicks the order now quick action link, they land on customer portal and see a pop-up with your configured header, body text, and offer details. They can accept or decline the offer. If they accept, their next order is placed immediately and a success message is shown.
Performance tracking
You can track adoption and performance via analytics:
Clicks (link engagement)
Product additions (conversion)
Use this to refine product selection, timing, and incentives.
