The Revive expired subscriptions campaign helps brands bring back subscribers whose limited-order subscriptions have completed. Instead of requiring customers to create a new subscription from scratch, this campaign enables a seamless reactivation experience with the option to place an order immediately or schedule it for later.

This is especially useful for brands using limited-order subscriptions as an acquisition strategy to extend customer lifetime value.

How to create a Revive expired subscriptions campaign

Navigate to Loop admin > Campaigns > Create campaign, then select Revive expired subscriptions. Add an internal name so you can identify the campaign later.

Select audience

Choose which expired subscriptions should see the campaign:

  • All expired subscriptions: The campaign applies to every expired subscription in your account.

  • Specific expired subscriptions: Filter by conditions such as product, frequency, or tags, or add specific subscription IDs.

Select channel

Choose where the campaign will be displayed:

• Customer portal banner
• Email/SMS via 3rd party marketing apps (Klaviyo)
• Both customer portal and Email/SMS

Select incentive

Choose if you want to incentivize reactivation:

• Add free gift
• Add discount
• None

Incentives are applied once the subscriber completes the action.

Upload creatives to notify subscribers:

The banner appears inside the subscription details page.

Customize texts

Configure campaign messaging. Clear communication reduces friction and improves acceptance rate.

Set timeline

Set the campaign start and end date and time.

Note: Campaign duration by default is 1 month (difference between start and end date).
Once expired:

• Banner disappears automatically
• Renew drawer cannot be accessed

Notify completion alert (Optional)

Enter an email address to receive alerts when subscribers complete swaps.

Customer experience

When the campaign is live, eligible subscribers see a banner in their customer portal if you have enabled that channel.

When a subscriber clicks the banner:

• A renew drawer opens
• Subscriber can choose to place the order immediately or schedule it
• Next order date is clearly shown
• One-click confirm completes the reactivation

Once completed:

• Subscription is reactivated
• Order is placed or scheduled
• Success message is shown
• Campaign disappears for that subscription

This ensures a smooth transition from expired to active subscription without requiring a new signup.


Performance tracking

Track campaign results by navigating to Loop admin > Campaigns. You can review the following metrics for each revive campaign:

  • Audience: Total expired subscriptions targeted by the campaign.

  • Clicks: Subscribers who interacted with the campaign.

  • Completion rate: Successful renewals.

Can customers place the order immediately after reactivation?

Yes. Customers can choose to place the order right away or schedule it for later.

Do customers need to create a new subscription when existing one expires?

No. The revive expired subscription campaign allows reactivation of expired subscriptions without creating a new one.

Can I target only specific expired subscriptions?

Yes. Use filters while selecting Specific expired subscriptions.
