The Winback campaign helps brands re-engage subscribers who have cancelled their subscriptions by offering a time-bound incentive to reactivate. It’s designed to reduce churn impact by making reactivation simple and action-oriented, either through the Customer Portal experience or through personalized links shared via Email/SMS using third-party marketing tools.

How Winback works
When a subscriber clicks a Winback campaign link, they are redirected to the Customer Portal and immediately shown a reactivation confirmation drawer. Once they confirm, their subscription is reactivated and any configured incentive is applied automatically.
How to create a Winback campaign
Navigate to Loop admin > Campaigns > Create campaign, then select Winback. Add an internal name so you can identify the campaign later.
Select audience
Choose who should receive the winback offer:
All cancelled subscriptions: The campaign applies to every cancelled subscription in your account.
Specific cancelled subscriptions: Filter by conditions or add specific subscription IDs to target a subset.
The system will show the total number of subscriptions selected based on your choice.
Select incentive
Choose the incentive for reactivation:
Add free gift
Add discount
None
If configured, incentives are applied once the subscriber reactivates.
Choose how to share campaign actions
You can distribute winback actions using:
Generate manual quick action list
A CSV will be generated containing personalized reactivation URLs. This list can be used to trigger campaigns using third-party marketing tools.
Sync campaign action list to Klaviyo
Reactivation links are synced directly to Klaviyo for streamlined outreach.
Customize texts
Configure the texts shown to subscribers in the reactivation drawer. Clear communication reduces friction and improves acceptance rate.
Set timeline
Set the campaign start and end date and time.
Note: Campaign duration by default is 1 month (difference between start and end date). Once expired, reactivation links will no longer work.
Notify completion alert (Optional)
Enter an email address to receive alerts when subscribers complete the winback action.

Customer experience
Subscribers who receive the campaign link through email, SMS, or any marketing tool land in customer portal and see a reactivation drawer automatically. They can confirm the reactivation in one click without any additional steps.
After a successful reactivation, a success message is shown and the subscription status updates from cancelled to active. Any configured incentive is applied to the reactivated subscription at this point.
Performance tracking
Track campaign results by navigating to Loop admin > Campaigns. You can review the following metrics for each winback campaign:
Audience: Number of subscribers targeted by the campaign.
Clicks: Number of subscribers who interacted with the campaign.
Completion rate: Percentage of subscribers who successfully reactivated.
Use these insights to refine your targeting, messaging, and incentives over time.
