Default sections are the built-in sections that come with every page of the Nova theme, such as the subscription overview, products info and upsells. You can reorder them, hide them per device, and configure several of them without writing code.

Each page of the customer portal comes with a set of built-in sections. The table lists them by page and zone, in their default order.

FAQs
Can I reorder or hide default sections?
Yes, open the Layout tab to reorder default sections or hide them separately on desktop and mobile.
Why is a default section not showing in my customer portal?
A default section shows only when its feature is set up and applies to the subscription you're viewing. For example, upsells show once the required customer permissions are set up, and a reward journey banner shows only on a subscription enrolled in a reward journey. To preview a section, use the search bar to open a subscription in the state you want to see.
Why is a button on the subscription overview disabled in the theme editor?
The button depends on a preference that isn't set up yet. Once you set up that preference, you can turn the button on, and it appears in the customer portal.
Can a navigation bar tab scroll to a custom section?
Yes, a tab's target can be any section on the subscription details page, including custom sections you add.
Can I hide the navigation bar on desktop only?
Yes, open the navigation bar settings in the Layout tab and turn it off for desktop. It keeps showing on mobile unless you turn it off there too.
Can subscribers place an order from the subscription list page?
Yes, turn on the Order now button for active contracts, and it shows on each subscription card on the list page.
